BEST TIME FOR DIXON

R. Dixon, of Nelson, broke the Wellington athletic centre 8000 metres record by nine tenths of a second when he ran Imin 50.1 sec at Trafalgar Park on Saturday night. Dixon’s time was I.9sec better than his previous best. He was taken through the first lap in 54sec by his brother and coach, J. Dixon, who was second in Imin S2.4sec.
