An error by the club has proved unfortunate for Ajasco, the top-weight in the New Zealand Thoroughbred Breeders’ Stakes at Te Aroha on Saturday Ajasco originally drew No. 1 at the barrier, but it was then j discovered that a horse had been missed in the barrier ballot and i the race was redrawn. This time Ajasco drew No. 17. The field ts: — N.Z. THOROUGHBRED BREEDERS STAKES, S 9000; Im.— Ajasco (17) 9-3; Rich Return (3) 9-0; Licketysplit (15) 8-5; Beatnik (6), Topsy (13) 8-4; Kia Marea (20) 8-2; Palley (18) 8-1; Breathalyser (19), Habanita (4), Peshawar (8). Marchere (7), Head Strong il) 7-12; Ina Court (9), Sandpiper (21), Tantara (22), Thanksgiving (14) 7-11. Balloted out with right of reentry: Trousseau (11) 7-9; Lovely Honey (2), Alyssum (12), Pacifico (16), Carophen (10), Montel (5) 7-8.
