Club events decided Three senior titles to M. W. Litolff (Avon), all the Papanul Junior championships to J. Schriek, and fast junior pursuit times were features of club cycling champlonshlpa which finished this week. The only event still to bo completed is Pananui’s senior pursuit. B. G. Stockwell and P. D. Brydon, two of the aemifinallsts, are Involved with Olympic Games preparatian In the team pursuit, and another, A. D. Morris, has just recovered from a crash. Canterbury’s future and depth in Individual pursuit was reflected In the final of the Avon junior championship. In conditions which were against good times, R. M. G. A. Heyde did Smin 29.45ec and J. H. Sullivan, though beaten, had a time of smin 30.3 sec. In the course of the various stages, Schriek and P. T. Radburnd also bettered smin 35sec. J. P. S. Mullan won Pananui’a 10-mile championship; and P. L. PavieU won from L. M. Vette and A. A. Paviell in Avon's race over five miles. The junior scratch race winners were Schriek (Papanul) and Radburnd (Avon). Stockwell won Papanui’s kilo metre time trial championship, in Imln IS.fisec, with Brydon second and Mullan and Morris third equal. Litolff won Avon’s senior title, but three juniors, Heyde, Sulifvan and Schriek, did faster times. Litolff, R. E. Knight and A. A. Paviell were the first three in the Avon senior sprints, and Brydon, Mullan and Payne were the place-getters in Papanui’s titles. The junior winners were Sullivan (Avon) and Schriek. Litolff won his third title in the 4000-metre individual pursuits, ahead of the Paviell brothers; and Schriek won his fourth junior title in the same event.
