(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. The four member:: of the Australian polo team visiting New Zealand will have to fork out about $lOOO themselves to cover their costs . following unexpectedly low gate-takings from the test match at Cllevedon. Officials said the takings of $7400, while good tiy New Zealand standards, were lower than expected- from the crowd which attended the test. The Australians—S. Hill (captain), S. Tait, R. Walker, and H. MacLachlan—expect their costs to be $12,000. Their 50 per cent share of total tour takings, should amount to about $10,900, leaving them just over $lOOO short.
