Mayor sleeps on marae
(N.Z. Prest Association) AUCKLAND, January 3. “A wonderful experience,” said the Mayor of Auckland (Sir Dove-Myer Robinson) after spending a night on the marae at the conclusion of Te Rangitahi (youth) week on Sunday. Also sleeping on the marae at Queen Victoria School in Parnell were the Minister of Maori and Island Affairs (Mr MacIntyre) and Mrs Maclntyre.
