Suspension for whip offence
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. The Cambridge jockey, K. E. Reggett was suspended from riding up to and including January 15 (three riding days) after he was found guilty of excessive use Of the whip on Fencourt Lass over the final two furlongs of the Sylvia Handicap. The judicial committee took a serious view, holding that Fencourt Lass, a two-year-old filly, had bean punished unnscestarUy. Fencourt Lass finished third.
