Kiwi to lead tourists
“The Press’* Special Service GREYMOUTH. The former West Coast Kiwi, G. M. Kennedy, now captain-coach of the Wagga Wagga Kangaroos in New South Wales, will lead the team on a short tour of New Zealand in October. It will play two matches in Canterbury and one on the West Coast.
Under Kennedy’s guidance, the Kangaroos club has won its country league title three times in the last five years. On the other two occasions, the team has been equal first and second.
Cricket—The Nelson cricket team to play Auckland B at Trafalgar Park on Thursday and Friday is: G. Lowans, A. McCarthy, T. Horne, R. Sowman, L. Rackley, D. Burrows, R. Herron, W. Lucre, B. Carey, C. Morris, A. Waljli.
