SHOOTING CLUES

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Dec. 28. Evidence found at the scene of the shooting of the Wellington pound keeper, Robert Duncan, aged 42, on Christmas Eve, was being scientifically examined, the police said tonight. Mr Duncan was hit in the shoulder by a bullet from a .22 rifle while carrying out a routine inspection of the pound. Tonight he was in a satisfactory condition in the Wellington Hospital. Detective Inspector B. P. Duncan said today that a "certain line of inquiry” was being pursued.

Inspector Duncan said that evidence found on the site at Moa Point, was being scientifically examined.
