‘Mrs N.Z.’ contest

The Plunket-G.H.B. “Mrs New Zealand” contest will be held again in 1972 and will be sponsored by the G.H.B. grocery group, according to a joint announcement from the Dominion headquarters of the Plunket Society in Dunedin and the G.H.B. headquarters in Wellington. This is the third year in succession that the contest has been organised by the Plunket Society. As in the past, proceeds will be retained by the Plunket Society to finance mother and baby care services.

Last year the contest attracted 4600 entrants for semi-finals throughout the country. Mrs A. Henry, the wife of a solicitor from Hamilton and mother of three children won.
