Florida's chief marine archaeologist, Dr Carl Clausen, said yesterday that labo--ratory tests had established that a skull which he found in salt springs contained a large portion of a human brain preserved for an estimated 5000 years. The skull was preserved in the hour-glass-shaped sinkhole, over 200 feet deep and almost devoid of erogionproducing oxygen.
