First Curtsy shows speed

Purdie is pleasing his trainer, E Temperton. in his recovery from a foot injury. The Manawatu Cup top-weight sped over five furlongs in Imin ssec and had something in hand over the last three in 39sec. Ribolita, In spite of a weight disadvantage, was too good for J 'oxtail over seven furlongs in min 32sec. taking 38 3-ssec for the final three furlongs. Habanlta went alone over six furlongs in Imin 18 3-ssec, working easily over the last three In Prince went fast over five furlongs to record Imin 1 3-ssec for the distance with the final three in 37 3-ssec.
