Ballycastle goes well
•‘The Press” Special Sendee WANGANUI. Ballycastle showed at Wanganui yesterday that he will be a threat in the Manawatu Cup on Monday, in spite of a lack of recent competition. Work took place 25ft out on the No. 1 grass, which was quite fast. Ballycastle was going easily outside Blue Suite with two lengths to Don’t Quit after six in Imin 14sec s the last three In 38 2-ssec. „ « The gallop has cleaned Ballycastie up nicely and a sprint tomorrow should have him ready for a solid performance. Tea. which is preparing for the Hastings New Year meeting, ran four furlongs with Helen’s Dilemma in 49 2-ssec, the last three in 37 4-ssec.
