CN.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) LONDON, Dec. 23. More than 28,000 Commonwealth immigrants entered the United Kingdom in the first nine months of this year. Figures released by the Home Office show that 28,037 people including United Kingdom passport holders from East Africa—were admitted. This compares with 27,515 for the same period last year.

In September, the total United Kingdom passport entry from East Africa nearly doubled compared with the same month in 1970—1339 compared with 732. The month’s Commonweatlh citizens entry totalled 2761 compared with 2500 in September, 1970.
