NEW MOVE PLANNED

Private radio licence The Gospel Radio Fellow-

ship plans to lodge its second application for a private radio licence before the end of the

year. . . . The application is being prepared and there will be a hearing by the Broadcasting Authority three months after the application is made. The solicitor for the fellowship (Mr C. C. Knight) said that recent changes in the station format were in the fellowship’s favour. Advertising revenue would make up no more than onethird, or $45,000, of the station’s running costs. Successful applicants in the past had asked between $150,000 and $200,000. The authority had also conceded that the gap in its coverage lay in religious programming. At present the fellowship 1 is seeking the services of a full-time manager to supervise the development of the station and the application.
