(N.Z. Press Association)

WELLINGTON, Dec. 22.

The Ministry of Transport said today that Paraparumu would still be used for its calibration flights, and N.A.C. could use the airfield and the Ministry’s facilities when Wellington and Palmerston North airports were closed. The Ministry’s controller of flight operations (Mr E. T. Kippenberger) said today that in spite of NAC’s withdrawal, there was no suggestion of Paraparaumu Airport closing.
