$85m Noumea nickel plan
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) TORONTO, December 22. The International Nickel Company, of Canada, Ltd, has announced a new proposal for the development of nickel properties in New Caledonia. The company has proposed a sBsm programme to build a plant that would produce about 15 million pounds of nickel annually. It has asked for a 70 per cent share in the development. Negotiations between Inco and the French Government over nickel deposits on the island have been continuing since the mid-19605.
