Schoolgirls’ team
The Canterbury senior schoolgirls softball team to represent the province in the national championships at Nelson from January 24 to 27, announced by the selector-coach (Miss A. White) is:—
C. Clothier (captain, Burnside), R. Thomas (vice-captaiin), S. Carroll, K. Te-Maori, M. Tinker (Suburbs), B. Clark, S. Laing, S. Peat (Spreydon), J. Teague, D. Craig, H. Craig (Monowai), R. Boyd (Lyttelton). Chaperon: Mrs B. Brown.
Teachers’ awards.—ln the list of graduates from the primary division of the Christchurch Teachers’ College printed in “The Press” the name of Philippa J. Keenink, who was awarded a diploma with distinction, should have read P. Joanne Weenink. Also the name of Sharyn M. Watkins should have appeared as being awarded a diploma.
