Car on fire in tunnel

i Only -mtoor damage was done to a. 1951 model car after-'it caught fire from a short-circuit while in the Christchurch-Lyttelton road tunnel at 1.45 p.m., yesterday. ' The car was owned by Mr R. Dunstan, of :98 Wiilyran Avenue, North New Brighton. It had to be pushed to the tunnel portal after the fire. A portable extinguisher was used to put out the fire, which was attended by a Tunnel Authority vehicle, and an appliance from the Woolston fire station.
