Baths to be modernised
(N.Z. Press Associatitin) ROTORUA, Dec. 12. The Ward baths at Rotorua will be redeveloped by a private company to become a modem and international standard spa complex. Announcing this, the Minister of Tourism (Mr Walker) said that a wholly New Zealand-owned company, Polynesian Pools, Ltd, of Wellington, had secured a lease of the site and would redevelop and run the baths from early in the new year. An undisclosed loan under the tourist facilities development scheme had been made to the company to help with development costs.
