A nuptial peal
Those, seeking to know for whom the bells of Christchurch Cathedral tolled on Friday evening are informed that it was to celebrate the wedding of Miss 3 Shirley Gardner and Mr T. Scott. In campanological terms, the performance was a quarter peal of 1260 Plain Bob Minor. The bellringers were Messrs P. J. Perry, 1; J. H. G. Gardner, 2; R. G. T. Bennett, 3; N. F. E. Reeve, 4; C. H. Ward, 5; and R. J. Johnston (conductor), 6.
