Universities appointment
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Dec. 10. Professor A. L. Titchener, of the University of Auckland, had been appointed a member of the University Grants Committee, said the Minister of Education (Mr Taiboys). He replaces Professor E. R. Collins, who has been a member since August, 1966. Professor Titchener is professor of chemical and materials engineering at Auckland and was dean of engineering from 1965 to 1968. He was a member of the National Research Advisory Council from 1964 to 1970, and is a member of the research committee of the University Grants Committee.
