Fort Street ready

“The Press" Special Service WANGANUI. The Te Awamutu visitor, Fort Street, showed her readiness to tackle Anne Gable and company in tomorrow’s Birch Handicap at Wanganui with a splendid final trial at Wanganui yesterday morning. Work took place on the No. 1 grass which had dried out after recent heavy rain. Fort Street went over two circuits quickening from tbe six the last time, and running Imin 15 4-ssec, the last three in 37sec. Another Waikato visitor, Dixie Belle, drew clear of Swagman and Tiger Balm after making most of the pace over six in Imin 17 4-ssec, the last three in 38 2-ssec.
