CHEQUE FOR CHILDREN’S HOME.—The president of the Soroptimist Club of Christchurch (Miss Hope O’Connor) presenting a cheque for $400 to the president of the Cholmondeley Children’s Home (Mr C. L. Paterson) at a luncheon held by the club yesterday. The money was raised at the club’s Bride of the Year contest.
