Christmas appeal
i Sir,—Once again we are : inviting the citizens of Christ- : church to assist us in maki ing Christmas a memorable ’ event in the lives of a numi her of under-privileged ' people in our midst For so ■ many left to their own ■ resources, Christmas Day ■ would be just another day, for the children none of the ■ excitement and joy as they i open gifts, for the older folk , none of the pleasant realisa- : tion that someone remem- . bers and cares about them, i If any of your readers would ■ care to offer gifts of toys, ■ new clothing, or non-perish-able foods, they could leave
them at our office, 192 Montreal Street, and we would be happy to distribute them among the needy of our city this Christmas. —Yours, etc., (THE REV.) T. J. CAHILL, Director, Catholic Social Services. November 30,-1971.
