Climb for saint’s day

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Nov. 30. One hundred officers and men of the Royal New Zealand Electrical and Mechanical Engineers’ Corps will celebrate St Eligius Day tomorrow by climbing Mount Ruapehu. They will leave the Top o’ the Bruce and climb over the mountain to Tukino Hut, on the Waiouru side, and will end the day with a function at the Waiouru army camp. St Eligius is the patron saint of smiths and workers in metals.
