Man feared drowned

INVERCARGILL, Nov. 28. An elderly Dunedin man is missing and presumed drowned after being A-ashed away in the Eglington River, 23 miles north of Te Anau. He is Mr Charles M. Greenslade, a surgeon, of 145 Forburv Road. Dunedin. His age! could not be confirmed tonight.

The accident occurred at 4.10 p.m. when Mr Greenslade and Mr Ronald Charles Bisdee. of Temuka. were fishing.

Mr Bisdee was fishing about 60 yards from Mr Greenslade when he saw him disappear. He contacted the Te Anau police who searched the area, but no trace could be found of the missing man. Two divers from Invercargill will search the area tomorrow.
