Australian series
A very successful Australian detective series, "The Contrabandits” begins screening from CHTV3 next Wednesday evening. The first story, called “Fool’s Gold” is about smuggling on the Sydney waterfront. Junk and scrap metal is imported from New Guinea, and the Contrabandits, a select group of customs men (and women) investigate. The Contrabandits later have problems with drug trafficking and illegal immigration.
Dennis Quilley, John Gregg, John Bonney, Ben Gabriel, Janet Kingsbury and Bob Haddow feature in the cast.
