THE UNIVERSITY OF PAPUA AND NEW GUINEA THE UNIVERSITY invites applications for the following positions: TUTOR/SENIOR TUTOR IN ENGLISH I "IGUAGE Applications are invited from person competent to teach a Service English Course to undergraduate students. This course includes the teaching of advanced comprehension of tertiary level reading material and written composition skills. Preference will be given to applicants who possess experience or post graduate qualifications in the teaching of English as a Second Language. Detailed information about present and projected courses may be obtained from the Head of the Department of English, Professor F. C. Johnson. The person appointed will be expected to take up duty in February, 1972. LECTURER IN BIOLOGY Applicants should have an appropriate higher degree, have had previous university teaching experience, and interests in vertebrate or invertebrate zoology with special reference to animal ecology or physiology. SALARIES Tutor: $A5134-$A5802 per annum. Senior Tutor: $A6362-$A7030 per annum. Lecturer: $A7200-$A9783 per annum. Plus SA36O per annum for a married male appointee.
