CHRISTCHURCH DRAINAGE BOARD NOTICE is Hereby Given that a special meeting of the Christchurch Drainage Board called for that purpose and held at the office of the board in the City of Christchurch on the twenty-third day of November, 1971, the said board did resolve: That in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Christchurch District Drainage Act, 1951, the Local Authorities Loans Act, 1956, and all amendments thereto and all other acts, if any, it in that behalf enabling, and by virtue of the sanction of the Local Authorities Loans Board granted at a meeting of that board held on the second day of November, 1971, the Christchurch Drainage Board at a special meeting called for that purpose and held on the twenty-third day of November, 1971, doth resolve by way of special order: (1) That the Christchurch Drainage Board proceed to raise a loan of eight hundred thousand dollars ($800,000) for the purpose of providing additional capacity for portions of the existing sewer system and capacity for areas of proposed urban development. (2) That such loan be known as Sewerage Loan No. 1, 1971, and hereinafter be called the j said loan. (3) That the term for which the said loan or any part thereof may be borrowed shall be 35 years. (4) That the rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate or rates exceeding 6 per cent per annum. (5) That the Christchurch Drainage Board shall, before raising the said loan, or any part thereof, make provision for the repayment thereof by establishing a sinking fund and shall make annual payi ments to such sinking fund i at a rate of not less than 1.11 per cent per annum of the I amount of the loan for the time being borrowed and not repaid. (6) That the payment of interest and repayment of principal in respect of the said loan shall be made in New Zealand, and no amount payable as either interest or sinking fund in respect of the said loan shall be paid out of loan money. ( (7) That the following commission or fees may be paid in respect of the raising of the said loan or any part thereof: (a) Brokerage not exceeding one-half per cent of the amount raised. (b) Underwriting commission or fees not exceeding onehalf per cent of the amount underwritten. (c) A placement fee not ex1 ceeding three-quarters per cent in respect of a placei ment by a single lender i of $20,000 or more for a ; term of 20 years or more, provided that no placement fee shall be payable in respect of an underwritten issue or any part thereof. Except as aforesaid, no procuration fees or other fees or commission of a similar nature shall be paid and no discount shall be allowed to any lender in respect of the raising of the said loan or any part thereof. (8) That the security of the said loan to provide for the annual charges thereon be a special rate of $.00008042 in the dollar on the rateable capital value of an area described in schedule C and in schedule B (as altered from time to time in terms of section 5 f of the Christchurch District Drainage Amendment Act, 1922, and section 60 6 of the Christchurch District Drainage Act, 1951) to a resolution of the board dated the seventeenth day of April, 1923, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 37 of the twenty-sixth day of April, 1923.
