FISHERIES LAUNCHES

Tenders being studied (From Our Own Reporter) WELLINGTON, Nov. 26. Tenders for the building of the new fisheries protection vessels for the Royal New Zealand Navy are being examined by the staff of Naval headquarters. The Minister of Defence (Mr Thomson) said this today in a written reply to questions by Sir Basil Arthur (Lab., Timaru). "The planned delivery date for the first two new vessels is mid-1974,” Mr Thomson said. "The remaining two are to be delivered by the end of the same year. Until tenders have been evaluated it is not possible to say where they will be built.”
