Motor-cyclists injured

A 15-year-old youth was last night seriously ill in Christchurch Hospital after an accident in which a motorcycle and a car collided in Riccarton Road, near Mandeville Street, about 8.50. The youth, Rangi Maaka, of 4 Ballantyne Avenue, Upper Riccarton, was the passenger on the motor-cycle. He suffered injuries to his head, right hand, and shoulder. He was admitted to the resuscitation ward. The rider of the motorcycle, Christopher Carnielo, aged 15, of 71 Matipq Street, Riccarton, suffered injuries to his right leg. He was also admitted to the resuscitation ward.
