Visit of Aust. countrywomen
A large group of Australian Countrywomen’s Association members visited Christchurch recently. They were entertained at a luncheon at Hornby by the Canterbury East Federation of Country Women’s Institutes.
About 100 institute members attended. The president (Mrs M. Bray) welcomed the Australian guests and Mrs E. G. Tait, of the Dominion executive committee, and Mrs E. McKenzie, of the Canterbury federation. Many of the Australian guests spoke of the activities of their branches and districts. Entertainment was given by the Springston, Lincoln, and Hornby singing groups. -
