Working llamas

Permission to graze two llamas on Moturiki Island off the Mount Maunganui ocean beach, has been granted to Mount Maunganui Marineland, Ltd, by the Mount Maunganui Borough Council. The llamas, which are to come from the Auckland Zoo, will serve a dual purpose as exhibts and to keep down an area of grass formerly grazed by sheep.
