Spring garden contest
Results of the Redwood Beautifying Association’s spring garden competitions held recently were as follows:
Morton Smith Cup for spring gardens—Mr and Mrs R. Skevington 159 Highsted Road, 1; Mr and Mrs C. Shaskey, 30 Prestons Road, 2; Mr and Mrs C. Morris, 35 Barnes Road, 3. Merit awards: Mr and Mrs J. Byfield, 63 Prestons Road; Mr and Mrs I. A. Rogers, 12 Munro Street; and Mr H. Close. 14 Dunedin Street. L. J. Mitchell trophy for trees and shrubs.—Mr and Mrs Byfield, 1; Mr and Mrs R. Walker, 81 Dunedin Street, 2; Mr and Mrs Shaskey, 3. Merit awards: Mr ?, n L Mrs Hogers, Mr and Mrs Morris, and Mr and Mrs W. Harrison, 25 Daniels
The judges were Messrs R. H. Evans and J. W. Myep.
