Press Association; WELLINGTON, October 12 Opposition speakers had some fun at the expense of the Government today during discussion in Parliament on the introduction of the Reserves and Domains Amendment Bill. They gleefully referred to the Labour victory in the Christchurch City Council elections after sustained opposition to a proposed road through Hagley Park. The Parliamentary party had fought the Christchurch City (Reserves) Empowering Bill, which approved the road, through all its stages. The speaker, Sir Roy Jack, advised the House today that the bill had been given the Royal assent, and this brought more laughter from the opposition. (The Christchurch empowering act does no more than authorise the City Council to put a road through Hagley Park, which the Labour Party has said it will not do. I
