HARDEST FIGHT

Bodell has U.S. rival (N.Z.P.A. -Reuter —Copyright} LONDON. The new British, Commonwealth, and European heavyweight boxing champion, Jack Bodell, will have the hardest test of his career so far when he meets the fourth-ranked man in the world, Jerry Quarry (United States), over 10 rounds at Wembley on November 16. The London promoter, Mr H. Levene, announcing the match yesterday, said that Quarry, who will be making his first appearance in Britain, will arrive in London two weeks before the fight, to wind up his preparation.

In meeting the 26-year-old Quarry, Bodell will be facing a man who has fought the best in the world—Joe Frazier, the world champion, Cassius Clay, Jimmy Ellis, and Floyd Patterson. Bodell took the titles from the 21-year-old Joe Bugner on points last month.
