Man overcome by smoke
An elderly man was admitted to Christchurch Hospital yesterday after he was overcome by smoke from an oven fire at his home. He is James Foster, aged 85, of 101 St James Avenue, Papanui. Mr Foster was reported to be in a fairly satisfactory condition.
Engines from St Albans and Harewood attended the fire in which no damage was caused.
