Guild gives $7520
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Sept. 17. The Federation of Townswomen’s Guilds has presented a cheque for $7520 to the National Heart Foundation. The money was raised by guilds throughout New Zealand in the last two years. The cheque was handed to the noted heart surgeon, Sir Brian Barratt-Boyes, by the guild president (Mrs Clare Crawford) at the opening ceremony of the guilds* biennial council meeting in Auckland this week.
Attending the conference were delegates from five area federations and 89 guilds, totalling more than 200 mem; bers.
