P. A. Sharp nominated

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. The Auckland Cricket Association has nominated P. A. Sharp, a 32-year-old Christchurch teacher with considerable experience as a player and administrator, for a seat on the New Zealand Cricket Council executive.

The election for this, and other positions, will take place during the council’s annual meeting on October 15. Nominations for the elections closed yesterday. Sharp, a former Canterbury off-spinner and present captain of West-Christchurch University, has for four years been a member of the Canterbury Cricket Association committee.
