Death from injuries
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Sept. 9. A woman injured in a headon collision at Mercer on August 25 died in Middlemore Hospital yesterday. She was: Beverly Andrews, of Hastings, married, with five children. A daughter, Kelly, aged 2), was killed in the accident.
Racing.—A Government committee was still working on legislation after the report of the Royal Commission into Racing, the Prime Minister (Sir Keith Holyoake) said after yesterday’s meeting of caucus. He said legislation was still not ready.— (P.A.) 4
