Scholarship nominees
The University of Canterbury has nominated two students, Messrs J. G. Cleary and J. W. Lee, for New Zealand Rhodes Scholarships. Mr Cleary, aged 20, a science student, was educated at St Thomas of Canterbury College, where he gained a university junior scholarship. He has graduated B.Sc. with honours and is now doing research for an M.Sc. degree. Mr Lee, aged 23, was educated at the Christchurch Boys’ High School. A B.A. graduate, he is completing his M.A. degree in geography.
