Cottrell to lead S.I.
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. The New Zealand Rugby Football Union last night announced the captains and vice-captains for the North Island v. South Island match at New Plymouth on Saturday. The captain of the North Island team is C. E. Meads, of King Country, and the vice-captain is S. M. Going, of North Auckland. For the South Island team, the captain is W. D. Cottrell, of Canterbury, and the vicecaptain is T. N. Lister,' of South Canterbury. ! The Hawke’s Bay All Black, 1 M. Duncan, who had to < leave the field during < he Wellington-Hawke’s; Bay match in Napier on Saturday with an injury, is almost certain to be 1 fit for the North-South t match, says a report ( from Napier. Duncan ? has been chosen to play ! on the wing. Duncan said: “It doesn’t appear to be too bad. 1 1 think it is a tom muscle, i but I will be available s for Saturday.” j
