Good year for R. W. Saunders
The net profit of R. W. Saunders, Ltd, for the year to July 19 rose almost 14 per cent to about $116,000, the directors announced yesterday in a brief preliminary statement. The profit—not yet audited—resulted from a 15 per cent higher turnover. The directors will recommend an increase in dividend from 15 to 16 per cent, to be paid in November, ex November 1. They intend to offer shareholders 50,000 100 c unsecured notes at par, in the ratio of one for every five ordinary shares held on November 1. The notes will convert in 1975, and carry interest at the rate of 8.5 per cent.
