Expansion by Motor Specialties
Motor Specialties Industries, Ltd, has acquired the Meteor Manufacturing and Engineering Company, Ltd, of Auckland, the chairman (Mr W. D. Barclay) has announced.
Meteor is a well-estab-lished engineering company with a highly-developed and well-equipped precision machine shop. Its acquisition will allow Motor Specialties Industries to manufacture a wider range of automotive and industrial components and equipment. It will also enable the company to manufacture fully many products at present partly produced by the group.
It will work as a separate section of MSI-Manufactur-ing, which is the division responsible for the control of all manufacturing and rebuilding in the group. It is planned that the facilities of Meteor will be expanded in due course.
Products produced by Meteor are already estab-
(•fished on the New Zealand ■market and these, with new [products, will be offered in export markets.
