MR E. T. SALVESEN.—He served an apprenticeship as an electrical engineer for Brown Bros, Ltd, in Christchurch. During World War I he served overseas but returned to Christchurch after the war to set up his own business before joining with Mr Wooff a few years later. His partnership with Mr Wooff lasted 42 years, until the pair retired in 1966. Mr Salvesen was the first president of the New Zealand Electrical Federation. He now lives in Scarborough.
