Govt raises $54m
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Sept. 3. The Government’s recent cash loan was highly successful, the Minister of Finance (Mr Muldoon) said today. Subscriptions amounting to more than ss4m had been received. “It is pleasing to note that nearly s3Bm was in the longterm, 18-year stock,” he said. “Three million dollars was invested in the short-term, three-year stock, and the balance of more than sl3m was invested in stock having a six-year maturity,” he said.
