Heron visitors
A number of white-faced herons have settled in the Harewood district, and have attracted a good deal of interest. The birds, commonly known as blue herons, come and go, feeding on swamp patches and farmland, according to the secrejtary of the North Canterbury Acclimatisation Society (Mr H. B. Barker).
