Pusey back

The English speedway test rider, C. Pusey, who was seriously injured in a crash at Templeton towards the end of the last New Zealand season, is back in action. He competed in his first grass track meeting for six months at the Ayre Club’s Cheshire Centre meeting on August 22. Pusey, the 1970 British 500 and 350 ex. grass track champion, scored a sixth and a third behind the new English 500 ex-

champion, P. Collins. A misfire handicapped Pusey in the first race, but in the second he led for a lap before Collins swept past. Later, G. Drury also swept round him. After the meeting, the forceful English rider was confident that he would soon be fully fit In speedway, he is still feeling his way and is prepared to take no chances. He hopes to appear in one or two of the big end-of-season meetings.
