Evangelists to meet

Seventeen evangelists from throughout New Zealand will meet at the national annual meeting of the Open Air Campaigners to be held in Christchurch for 10 days next month. Open Air Campaigners is an interdenominational, international Christian organisation which holds open air services.

The director of the Christchurch branch of Open Air Campaigners (Mr D. Salisbury) said that the meeting would review methods of campaigning and discuss the development of total involvement crusades which were initiated about a year ago. The crusades were about six to 10 weeks long and their aim was to encourage a stable Christian commitment. So far they had been held in one North Island and two South Island centres. The placing of . number of trainees from the school run by the campaigners, and the use of a trailer complex for campaign work in all centres would also be considered.
