PULP SOLD

fN.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Aug. 31. Contracts covering the entire pulp output of the second N.Z. Forest Products pulp plant at Kinleith had been negotiated by a senior sales team recently returned from a world selling tour, the company’s director of marketing (Mr D. O. Walker) said yesterday. He had the utmost confidence in the timing of production from the new machines, in July, 1972, despite competition from the United States caused by the recession in that country. New sales outlets gave N.Z. Forest Products a world-wide coverage of markets for pulp, paper products and finished boards.

Despite almost prohibitive transport costs, hardboard in particular was selling against keen competition in, among other countries, the West Indies and the United Kingdom.
